Excellent Mirror & Easy to Install : Gentex GENK51a Auto dimming mirror with HomeLink, temperature and compass
I was a little nervous about how difficult this mirror was going to be to install. While you do need to be able to follow instructions, comfortable removing automotive interior panels/trim, and snaking wires I found it to be really easy to install on my Nissan Titan. It went in quickly and everything worked the first time. You will need a voltmeter/wire tester in order to make the wiring connections.
There are two power wires you have to connect. The wire the instructions tell you to connect to a constant on power wire provides power to the Homelink function. (They don't tell you this in the instructions I had to figure it out on my own).
The reason this is important is that if some criminal breaks into your vehicle they also have access to your garage too if the Homelink function has power all the time. I only wanted the Homelink buttons to work when the truck key is turned on. (Makes it harder for the criminal element). Others may not care, but I did and it would have been simpler if the Gentex instructions told you and let you pick how you want to connect the wires.
I like the mirror and now that I know how easy it was to install that I'm going to buy another one and install it in my Suzuki Grand Vitara.
